Seats
The majority of 3 wheel double buggies begin life as single pushchairs, although some can convert to take the seat of a second person or carrycot by converting adapters (these are usually more common in tandem buggies). Suspension
The quality of the suspension in a triple buggy is vital to how easy it will be for you and your baby to push. It is important to have a smooth ride, because babies can feel every bump that comes along the road. This is especially the case if you're driving on rough terrain, such as grass or roads that aren't paved. Certain models also have front wheels that lock to assist in maneuvering and navigating obstacles such as curbs.
Some models have tyres with air filled that are great for all-terrain riding, but they are susceptible to punctures. Make sure you keep a spare set of tyres inside the trunk. Others have foam or gel tyres, which are specifically designed to handle bumps and are less prone to punctures, but you might feel a bit stiff and uncomfortable on your child's back should you choose to jog.

In general, the more wheels a buggy has the more able it will be to navigate over rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are larger than the typical size. You will have more stability, and it is less likely that you need to tip over or flip your child.
